FAQs
What are the advantages of using a full height turnstile gate?
Welded monoblock building
Because bolts and nuts are replaced by a welded monoblock design, the product has a long service life with less wear and tear.
Easily Integrable
Ensures the smooth operation of all access procedures and integrates turnstile controls with a variety of card readers and auxiliary devices for reliable access control.
Self-centering system
The arm will automatically fall forward to finish the rotation if it is rotated more than halfway. The arm will automatically fall back to its starting position if it is turned less than halfway. The arm won’t stop mid-arm, which will prevent unlawful entry. Through an integrated shock absorber mechanism, it centers the rotor smoothly and without any stagger for longer service life and greater user satisfaction.
Avoid unauthorized force
When the arm is locked, it can withstand a resistance of 70 kg to thwart unauthorized attempts to force it open.
Anti-tailgating
When the arm has been rotated more than halfway, the smart lock mechanism uses a limit switch to detect rotation and effectively re-lock back. As a result, the current user has two options: complete the rotation to pass through, or reverse it to leave. On the other side, the layout leaves little room for each user, making piggybacking for dependable access control virtually impractical.
Safety
The technology will unlock the arms in the event of a power outage. Users can manually push the arms to provide unrestricted passage, making it easy for visitors to leave the building.
Override capability
For flexible user-defined access control, the configurable turn direction overrides the current rotation configuration.
Mixed complementary
You can combine automatic full-height turnstiles with other turnstile types, such as pedestrian security gates to let in cargo.
Can full-height turnstile gate be installed outdoors?
Yes, it is designed to operate outdoors with high protection rating, making it resistant to dust and water splashes, and therefore suitable for harsh weather conditions.
What are the main features of a full height security turnstile gate?
Key features of full height turnstile gate include their tall, rotating barriers that ensure one-person-at-a-time access control, providing heightened security. Full height turnstile gate robust construction makes it durable and resistant to tampering, while its compatibility with various access control systems allows for seamless integration. Additionally, the full body turnstile can be customized to meet specific security requirements and can be automated for greater efficiency, making it ideal for high-security environments.
How should the locking mechanism of full height turnstile gate function on power loss?
If the turnstile access control need to unlock on both entry and exit, then the solenoids must be fail open for entry and exit
If the controlled access gate need to lock on entry and unlock on exit, then the entry solenoid must be fail close, and the exit solenoid must be fail open.
What are the maintenance requirements for a full height turnstile gate?
Full height turnstile gate is relatively low maintenance. Routine checks include inspecting mechanical parts for wear and tear, ensuring the proper functioning of the access control system, and cleaning surfaces to maintain hygiene and aesthetics. Periodic servicing by professionals can ensure the longevity and optimal performance of the unit.
What is the difference between electromechanical and motorized full height turnstile gate?
Full height turnstile gate comes in two variants of inbuilt mechanisms. The first one is electromechanical full height turnstile which operates on a solenoid-based locking mechanism, while the second one is the motorized full height turnstile which works on a brushless DC motor-based mechanism. In both cases, once access is granted, the user needs to push the rotor to pass through the passage.
How many full height turnstile gates are needed?
It will depend on how much pedestrian traffic there is and how fast it needs to move
