Different Axess Turnstiles with Different Security Levels
Different security levels are offered by various axess turnstile models. The correct security entry turnstiles must be chosen based on the application’s unique requirements, such as the desired level of security and the installation’s architectural objectives. To meet the needs of the selected projects, a broad variety of security entrance turnstiles are offered with various levels of security.
1. Tripod turnstile gates provide low-level security
Tripod gate turnstiles are an easy, small, and affordable turnstile option for security entrances. They only permit one person to enter at a time, helping to keep a regular stream of people moving through an entrance. They are typically utilized in places where supervision is provided because of the waist-height cabinets, which make it simple to crawl under or jump over and enter without being seen or stopped (since they do not have sensors installed). They are made with foldable bars, which also offer a clear path of escape in case of emergency.
2. Optical turnstile gates offer medium security level
Access control systems’ “Open” signals cause optical turnstile gates to open a free path, which they promptly close after a user has passed through. Infrared sensors are built into them to detect tailgating, and if an illegal user follows a registered user, the alarm will go off. In contrast, when the barriers are open for just a short period of time, a second individual can hurry through and jump over them despite their waist-high cabinet. Therefore, optical turnstiles are frequently erected in main entrance lobbies, allowing employees to walk through them, but the existence of the cabinets and barriers implies that visitors need to “check-in” with the reception/security staff to receive access.
3. Full-height turnstile gates provide high-security levels
Full-height pedestrian turnstiles have floor-to-ceiling arm designs and offer a high level of security in areas where the entrance is unmanned because it is impossible for someone to crawl under or jump over them. They also prevent tailgating by rotating so that only one person can pass through at a time, meaning that nobody can enter without a valid ID.
