In general, entrance turnstiles usually come with different finishes to fit the requirements of different applications. It is very important to choose the correct finish to protect such turnstile entrance gates as per the specific projects.
There are 2 key factors to determine which finish should be choosen as follows:
The environment: The enviroment is an important factor to affect the longevity and functionality of entrance turnstiles. For example, the turnstiles without correct finish used in coastal area are easier to corride because of high salty environment
Application Scenario: The application scenario is the other important factor to affect the which finish should be chosen. For example, the entrance turnstile gates used inside of office building keeps their surface intergrity longer than contruction turnstile.
There are 3 finishes for different applications as follows
Stainless Steel: Because of the high resistance to acids and oxidation, stainless steel is not to corrode, rust or stain, being ideal solution for outdoor use or use in corrosive environments. On the other hand, stainless steel entrance turnstile cabinets will keep their intergrity no matter how scratched they become, and they are designed with modern pleasing look to blending into the aesthetics of all the surrounding spaces.
Powder Coated Steel: The finish is tough enough for enduring most scratching/rough use, which can be various custom color for different applications. Powder coated entrance turnsiles are suitable indoor use or outdoor application with shelter above. As long as the scratches do not go beyond the powder coat protective layer, the turnstile will be protected all the time.
Galvanized Steel: Galvanized steel offers perfect protections against corrosion and stands up well to water exposure, and it is the effective finish for outdoor environments. Galvanized steel is a steel that has been dipped in molten zinc, which bonds with the iron contained in the steel to form a protective layer around the surface of the steel.
